Rain

 Yes in every life a little rain must fall.  We awoke to rain which continued to worsen as the morning progressed. Were were able to see the two types of marble on Skye.  We did have a local guide that explained the history of Skye and its people.  We stop at the major city of Portree. There is a high school and a medical clinic. It is pouring rain and windy.  We have 45 min to explore the city. The shops dont open for 15 min.  A chance to stretch our legs and try and stay dry. Clearly we could have missed the stop.  

We are at the furtherest west area of Scotland. We are still in the highlands.  I haven’t mentioned that it is important when in the highlands to see one of the Highlands Wooly Cattle.    So our tour director is on the mission to insure our visit is complete

After leaving the Isle of Skye we head back across Scotland and the rain continues but the waterfalls are better!  We are still in the highlands.   We stop for lunch at Loch Ness.  Looking for Nessie. The up side is she scared the rain away and we have only wind.  Good news is we have encountered the Wooly cow.  See photos. 

We also stop at Cullenden with a discussion and the battle between the Jacobites and the British Red Coats.  Which is if you look up the battle you will relize it really wasnt much of a battle. 

Tonight we stay in another small town of Newtomore.  There is really only a grocery store and a few houses.  Most of the group went out to a sheep farm for a demonstration of Sheep Dogs at work.  We have seen that in the past do it was okay to miss alther if you look stbthe photos they also got to feed the calf   Dinner at the hotel which is an old hotel. 

Tomorrow we stop at Blair Castle, St Andeews and end up in Edinburgh and tickets to the Military Tattoo. The best news is the rain has gone and wind died down
